Science and imagination, art and nature, experimentation and emotion: for Gaël Montero, the perfumer’s job entails mapping their own route, following further paths. He loves to explore new places, repeats trials like a researcher and thinks about his creations as real architectural projects; even so, perfumers never forget the sensitive aspect of perfume.


This is always about emotion, especially for the perfumer who knows they have just found the perfect balance in their formula, and for the person who will get to enjoy a personal touch in the perfume. Gaël Montero has both French and Spanish origins and is now based in Dubai. He is curious and open, and highlights the role that certain encounters have played throughout his journey and how important the collective dimension of the creation task is to him.


His dream as a perfumer? To one day interpret this “magical smell” of sun-scorched flora, mixing cistus plants, everlasting flowers and wild lavender, which he smelled in the Spain of his childhood.
