Collection: Jean-Christophe Hérault

Jean-Christophe Hérault is a senior perfumer at International Flavors and Fragrances (IFF) based in Paris, France. He grew up in France adjacent to the fragrance industry, but it was not until he received a bottle of Joop for Men as a teenager that he became enamored with fragrance. He studied chemistry in university and interned in a laboratory in Grasse, where he fell in love with the industry. It was during this time that he met legendary perfumer Pierre Bourdon and begged him to mentor him. Bourdon agreed, but under the condition that Hérault discover the wider world of art and culture as well, including literature, cuisine, and visual art.

Hérault's early creations include Canali Men EDT (2005), Grès My Dream Hommage à Marlene Dietrich EDP (2008), and Canali dal 1934 EDP (2009), where he played with the pineapple note he perfected in Creed Aventus. Other notable fragrances created by Hérault include Balenciaga Florabotanica EDP (2012), Comme des Garçons Amazingreen EDP (2012), Viktor & Rolf Spicebomb Extreme EDP (2015), Paco Rabanne Lady Million Empire EDP (2019), and Dolce & Gabbana The One For Men EDP Intense (2020).
