Born in Singapore, Wei Ling’s entry into the world of perfumery came serendipitously in 1992 when she joined Dragoco (now part of Symrise) as a perfumer assistant. What began as an opportunity soon blossomed into a lifelong passion. Surrounded by the olfactory organ of the laboratory and guided by skilled perfumers, she found herself captivated by the infinite possibilities of scent. In 1999, she officially began her apprenticeship, laying the foundation for a career defined by creativity, intuition, and emotional storytelling.

Wei Ling quickly found her strength in Fine Fragrance, a category where her artistic instincts thrived. Although she has worked across various fragrance segments, she feels most at home crafting perfumes that tell stories and evoke deep emotions. For her, perfumery is a boundless medium of expression—there are no rules, only the desire to reveal something meaningful to the world. “A fragrance,” she often says, “is alive… it has a soul, and a story to tell.”
