The Story Behind the Stone
Each GRAVEL bottle contains a hand-selected pebble from the Hudson River. This signature element traces back to Michael Knudsen, who founded GRAVEL in 1957 after collecting stones during a walk along the Hudson. He added the stones to his first fragrance, "A Man’s Cologne," which helped pioneer the men’s fragrance market in the United States. The concept of GRAVEL was born that day – a brand built on authenticity, timelessness, and craftsmanship.
