Red Shoes by Jacques Fath is a floral woody fragrance with a silky, sensual character. Inspired by the elegance of haute couture, it captures femininity through texture, movement and radiant sophistication.
The name pays tribute to the 1948 ballet film The Red Shoes, for which Jacques Fath designed costumes for prima ballerina Moira Shearer. In 1950, Fath created a sumptuous red silk dress worn by model Bettina — a piece that inspired this luminous and refined perfume.
The fragrance opens with vibrant blackcurrant, red berries and grapefruit, enhanced by sparkling aldehydes for a fresh, effervescent introduction. Blue ginger and pink pepper add a cool, slightly metallic facet, echoing the sheen of silk and satin.
At the heart, opulent rose damascena absolute blooms with lush intensity, accompanied by green geranium nuances. The base unfolds into earthy patchouli, creamy cashmere wood and soft musks, creating a strong and elegant sillage that lingers beautifully on the skin.
Red Shoes is a sophisticated floral woody perfume — radiant, feminine and irresistibly sensual.
